MASB's foundations trace back to the professional journey our founder Ahmet Bayraktutan began in 1975 as a motor rectification apprentice. The experience he gained by learning engine structures, operating conditions and maintenance needs directly in the field became the foundation of the production capability we have developed over the years. In 1987, Ahmet Bayraktutan established a crankshaft production facility and continued operating in this field until 1994. In 1994 he turned to cylinder head manufacturing and founded MASB Motorlu Araçlar Silindir Başlığı San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. Our production journey, which began with our first product, the Caterpillar 8N1188 cylinder head, grew to include products for construction machinery, heavy commercial vehicles, rail, maritime and the defense industry. Over the years we have produced cylinder heads for the Land Rover vehicles of the Turkish Gendarmerie General Command, the Komatsu construction machinery of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), and the Pielstick engines of TCDD TÜLOMSAŞ. We carried this accumulated expertise into the maritime field with our MTU cylinder head production for the needs of the Turkish Naval Forces. Our MTU steel cylinder heads, manufactured with Mediterranean climate conditions and demanding mission requirements in mind, became one of the key examples of our production competence across different materials and applications. We expanded our production capability by carrying our deep-rooted cylinder head manufacturing experience into engine block production. We manufacture GM 6.5L V8 engine blocks used in Kobra vehicles and Land Rover TDI 300 engine blocks for the 6th Main Maintenance Factory in Balıkesir. We also manufacture Detroit 6V/53 V6 engine blocks for GZPT vehicles for the 2nd Main Maintenance Factory in Kayseri. Through this work, we contribute to meeting the critical engine components needed in the maintenance and overhaul processes of defense vehicles through domestic production. Today, at our facility in Konya, we continue cylinder head and engine block manufacturing through production processes ranging from casting to CNC machining, and from dimensional inspection to leak testing. We combine the professional heritage passed down through our family with evolving production technologies, carrying the craftsmanship tradition that began in 1975 into the future through our commitment to quality and reliable manufacturing.
